What?

Welcome! Welcome one and all! No matter how you landed on this blog, you’re probably wondering what it’s all about. That is quite a legitimate question. What exactly is StoryWeavers?

StoryWeavers is a blog for people just like me and you. People who love to write. Perhaps you feel a tickling itch to write, but you just can’t come up with any ideas. StoryWeavers could solve that problem. Ah, but how?

You see, StoryWeavers is a story, written by anyone and everyone on this blog. I will write the very very beginning of the story, a sort of prompt for the next person. Let’s imagine that a Mr. X comes along and my prompt inspires him. He will write the next bit of the story, which in turn will inspire Mrs. Y to write the next part, and so on and so on…

So how exactly does this blog work? Unfortunately, for it to work in a friendly, fun sort of way, I find myself obliged to set down just a few simple rules.

  1. All entries which are racist or discriminatory in any way will not be accepted. The same goes for entries containing rude language.
  2. Entries must follow the logical thread of the story. However, this does not stop them from being 100% creative and even a little wacky.
  3. Entries must be a maximum of 300 words long with a margin of 10%. I do not wish to put a limit to your creativity but I do not want one person to end up writing the whole story. The point is for lots of people to come together. There is no minimum length.
  4. Please pay attention to your spelling.
  5. Smiley-face icons are not welcome in this story. Also, please do not use abbreviations such as lol, omg, gr8, etc.

I think that’s all! What are you waiting for? Why don’t you go check out the story and see if you feel like contributing!  Once you start StoryWeaving, you won’t be able to stop!
